Very large cast felt in abdomen, unable to express any urates/feces from vent. Bird seen opening/closing R foot while in hand. Reflexes intact in both legs - bird able to pull limbs back, but difficult to tell if bird actually has deep pain on either leg. Possible divot felt on palpation of lower spine but did not see on x-rays. Very large amount of bone in ventriculus on x-ray. Old R mandible fracture present - feel stable, but small amount of possible bone exposure on the underside of the jaw. | Leftovers: 4 S: Leaning against donut. Noticed handler and tried to move away but fell down. O: Collected blood from R TMT vein for CBC, PCV, and leucocytozoon study. Practiced PT on both legs, performing slow, elongated bicycle motions; showed positive signs of restraint and reaction in legs. Stained eyes - no uptake. No feces present to collect fecal for parasite checks or for the hormonal study. Aged bird as a SY. Gave SQ fluids L inguinal area; gave other meds PO. Removed 4g scrap; no casts. LRS SQ: 38.60 cc (LRS) SQ Gabapentin: 0.08 cc (100 mg/ml compounded) PO Meloxicam: 0.52 cc (1.5 mg/ml compounded) PO A: BAR. Leg use still presents itself gingerly and feeble, despite good signs of reaction. We may need to express their vent/abdomen if no feces by 3/3. P: Express vent PRN.

MM pink Ears: Waxy , flakey otherwise WNL Eyes: NSF, did not stain Wings: NSF Legs: Bird is able to move both legs and feet but seems to lack strength in them Feet: see "legs" Body: NSF Feather condition: WNL Ectoparasites: feather lice Radiographic findings: NSF A: Pt presented with leg paresis- has use of legs in feet but is unable to stand. Bird appears to be in good condition otherwise, which suggests he may have some spinal trauma, nerve damage. Prognosis is guarded until we see improvements in bird's ability to stand. P: 3/2- fecal, blood, stain eyes 3/3- vet check Tx- LRS SQ SID 5 D, Monitor ability to stand/use of legs, PT legs EOD, spray with adams PRN Rx- gaba, meta 7 D
